Beverly Police Investigating Home Invasion

BEVERLY — Chief John G. LeLacheur reports that the Beverly Police Department is currently investigating a home invasion and robbery that occurred Saturday morning.

On Saturday, March 28, at about 8:50 a.m., Beverly Police received a 911 call from a neighbor of a residence on Paine Avenue reporting a home invasion.

Through an investigation, Beverly Police determined that an armed suspect had broken into the home and assaulted and tied up the home’s sole occupant before stealing several items from the house, including a vehicle, which the suspect used to leave the scene.

The victim was transported to Beverly Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.

Police were able to locate and recover the vehicle that was stolen from the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Beverly Police Department, with assistance from Massachusetts State Police.

As this is an active investigation, Beverly Police have no additional information at this time. Further details will be released as they become available.
