LUDLOW– Town Administrator Marc Strange shares that the Town of Ludlow is launching an AI-powered chat assistant as part of the town website to make it easier for residents to access information and connect with town services.
The launch is in partnership with Readyly, providing 24/7 support to residents. The chat assistant will instantly answer frequently asked questions and guide users to the resources they’re looking for.
When visiting the town’s website, the assistant can be accessed by clicking the button in the bottom right corner of the screen labeled ‘Ask Ludlow’.
Voice capabilities will soon be added, allowing residents to call and speak to the AI assistant directly.
Residents can ask questions and receive answers in over 200 languages, making town services more accessible to Ludlow’s diverse community.
“Technology should make government more accessible, not more complicated,” said Town Administrator Strange. “The AI assistant allows us to provide instant answers at any time. It’s another step forward in how Ludlow serves its residents.”
The assistant handles routine inquiries and guides residents to the right information, pulling from verified town sources to ensure accuracy. If users need additional help, they can request direct support from town staff through the chat.
Residents can ask the assistant to:
- Find office hours, locations, and contact details.
- Learn about town services and programs.
- Submit service requests to town departments.
- Get information on permits, utilities, events, and more.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Ludlow as they embrace innovation to serve their community,” said Kris Sandor, CEO of Readyly. “The commitment to accessible service reflects the future of local government, where technology empowers both residents and staff.”
