Front-Line Services Expands, Providing Direct Behavioral Health Care with Focus on LGBTQ+ Population

Front-Line Services is expanding its behavioral health services and now provides direct access to behavioral health care to patients throughout Massachusetts with a focus on the LGBTQ+ community.

GARDNER — Front-Line Services is expanding its behavioral health services and now provides direct access to behavioral health care to patients throughout Massachusetts with a focus on the LGBTQ+ community.

In its early years, Front-Line Services managed a co-response and follow-up program for police departments in Greater Lowell. Front-Line continues this work in the Merrimack Valley today striving to aid communities in developing robust solutions to community mental health needs.

But as Front-Line worked in local communities and with numerous individuals, it became clear there is a growing call for more access to specialized behavioral health care, in particular for those in the LGBTQ+ community.

“We are becoming the change that we wish to see in the community,” said Front-Line President and CEO Matthew Page-Shelton. “Our work in numerous communities showed us that more behavioral health care is needed, in particular for those in the LGBTQ+ community. As a proud LGBTQ+ -owned and -operated business, we believe in serving those who often lack a voice and are underserved. While many providers are running away from diversity, equity and inclusion as well as serving the LGBQ and T communities, we are marching forward.”

Front-Line Services is excited to announce the BProud program to individuals in the LGBTQ+ community across Massachusetts. BProud therapists, who are members of the LGBTQ+ community, help individuals explore their gender and sexual orientation while working on all aspects of the person.

Both the BProud program and additional behavioral health services are now available in person at Front-Line’s Gardner offices, and telehealth appointments are available statewide. Front Line accepts most major insurances now including MBHP.

Front-Line is exploring innovative partnerships and projects that place their focus on increasing access to services, education and treatment. Front-Line provides training and technical assistance services, outpatient programming, and community mental health programming.
