Lexington Minute Men and Lexington History Museums Offering First-Ever VIP Experience for Paul Revere’s Ride, the Kickoff Event to America250 Celebrations

LEXINGTON — Last year, to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington, over 4,000 spectators gathered to watch a reenactment of Paul Revere’s famous ride, where he and William Dawes raced from Boston to Hancock-Clarke House on horseback, alerting patriot leaders John Hancock and Samuel Adams of the impending British, who were on the way to arrest them. These efforts spurred militia forces to confront the British on the Lexington Battle Green, where the first shots of the American Revolution were fired.

On the heels of last year’s well-attended event, the Lexington Minute Men in partnership with the Lexington History Museums, are offering a first-ever VIP experience to the 2026 Paul Revere’s Ride, which will be held at the Hancock-Clarke House in Lexington on Friday, April 17, at 9 p.m.

VIPs will be offered a prime viewing spot for Paul Revere’s Ride directly in front of the Hancock-Clarke House.

The VIP experience also includes:

  • A special pre-show reception with hot chocolate, cookies, and history Q&A with a Lexington History Museums and/or Lexington Minute Men educator in the Hancock-Clarke House barn at 8:00 p.m.
  • One admission ticket per participant to Buckman Tavern, Munroe Tavern, Hancock-Clarke House and the newly opened Depot Museum of Lexington History.
  • Photo opportunities with Paul Revere, Sam Adams, and other reenactors.
  • Special merchandise.

“The History Museums and the Lexington Minute Men first developed this reenactment back in 1995, and every year it serves as a dramatic and much-anticipated opening act for the entire weekend of Patriot’s Day events,” said Lexington History Museums Executive Director Trenton Carls. “We’re excited to offer this first-ever VIP package to experience the event up close and with added context.”

VIP tickets will be sold for $250 in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, America’s founding document. Only 40 tickets are available. Tickets can be purchased here: https://checkout.square.site/merchant/ .

The 2026 Paul Revere Ride will be starting an hour earlier than in past years. Given the earlier time, and the nature of the event, which will be the kickoff event in a series of celebrations honoring America’s 250th anniversary, organizers are anticipating record attendance.

With large crowds expected, the Lexington Minute Men and the Lexington History Museums encourage guests to purchase their VIP experience as soon as possible.

“We were extremely proud to see so many people line Hancock Street in the spirit of patriotism. This year, we would like to provide a unique opportunity for people to experience this premier event up close, offering amazing access to witness history coming to life,” said Lexington Minute Men Captain Commanding Stephen Cole, “We encourage anyone interested to buy tickets as soon as possible, as we are only offering 40 tickets. This experience is a great opportunity to gift the history-enthusiast in your life with up-front access to history this holiday season.”
