MEDIA ADVISORY City of Gloucester Invites Community to Attend Public Safety Badge Ceremony

GLOUCESTER — The City of Gloucester and the Gloucester Police and Fire Departments invite community members to attend the annual badge ceremony, celebrating new and recently promoted officers and firefighters.

WHEN:

Thursday, July 10, at 4:30 p.m.

WHERE:

Kyrouz Auditorium, Gloucester City Hall, 9 Dale Ave., Gloucester

WHO:

  • Mayor Greg Verga
  • Chaplain Peter Aberle
  • Police Chief Ed Conley
  • Fire Chief Eric Smith

WHAT:

The City of Gloucester, along with Gloucester Police and Fire Departments, are hosting this year’s Public Safety Badge Ceremony on July 10.

This ceremony celebrates new and recently promoted Gloucester public safety officials, and honors their dedication to the community they serve.

This year, 20 public safety officials will be recognized during the ceremony:

  • Promotion to Police Lieutenant: Jerome Ciolino
  • Promotion to Police Sergeant: Jonathan Trefry
  • Police Officers: Patrick Hunt, Kalyn Koller, Jared Lopez, and Ryan Muniz
  • Promotion to Fire Captain: David Barrett
  • Promotion to Fire Lieutenant: Patrick Legro, Andrew Lyons, and Michael Mitchell
  • Firefighters: Quincy Carvino, Kyle Hurst, William Lane, Samuel Logrande, Jon O’Bryan, Tyler Philbrook, Kyle Quinn, Nikolas Rodriques, John Salvi-Souza, Clay Whitley

The ceremony is open to the public.
