Blue Hills Regional Technical School Celebrates Graduation of Class of 2025

CANTON — Superintendent-Director Jill Rossetti and Principal Geoffrey Zini are proud to share that Blue Hills Regional Technical School held its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025 on Tuesday, June 3.

The ceremony was held on the school’s athletic field, with a total of 215 graduating seniors receiving their high school diplomas.

The 215 graduates represented 17 Career Technical Programs, including: five in automotive collision repair and refinishing; 13 in automotive technology; 11 in computer information systems; 14 in construction technology; 12 in cosmetology; 11 in criminal justice; 18 in culinary arts; 10 in design and visual communications; 11 in drafting/CAD; 14 in early education and care; 14 in electrical technology; 13 in electronics; 11 in engineering technology; 14 in graphic communications; 20 in health assisting; 12 in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration; and nine in metal fabrication and joining technologies.

Blue Hills Regional Technical School draws students from nine communities, including Avon, Braintree, Canton, Dedham, Holbrook, Milton, Norwood, Randolph and Westwood.

The graduation ceremony began with a processional led by District School Committee members Kevin Connolly, Eric Erskine, Karen Graves, Taryn Mohan, Sheila Vazquez and Tom Polito. They were joined by Superintendent-Director Rossetti, Principal Zini and the class officers.

“We are so incredibly proud of the graduates in the Class of 2025,” Principal Zini said. “They have been an amazing part of the Blue Hills community, and we can’t wait to see what is next for them.”

Class President Kabirah Azeez, whose Career Technical Program was criminal justice, expressed gratitude to Blue Hills Regional Technical School for providing her with the real-world experience and knowledge that she needs to achieve success in her career.

“Blue Hills graced me with a skill set that will allow me to succeed in this world as a responsible leader,” Azeez said. “We excel, we are smart and we are beyond capable.”

In her speech to fellow graduates, Valedictorian Mia Castillo encouraged her peers to take on difficult challenges and reach new heights.

“Step out of your comfort zone and push past the limits,” said Castillo, class treasurer, whose Career Technical Program was design and visual communications.

Superintendent-Director Rossetti credited the Class of 2025 for overcoming difficulties, becoming specialists in their fields and leaving a legacy of leadership, excellence and inclusion at Blue Hills Regional Technical School.

“You’ve adapted, persevered and thrived,” said Superintendent-Director Rossetti. “You haven’t just learned a trade. You’ve mastered a craft. You’ve found your voice. You’ve led your peers. You’ve made this school stronger, more vibrant, and more inclusive.”
