CANTON — The Paul Revere Heritage Site wishes to invite community members to the 4th Annual Canton Heritage Festival this Saturday, May 17.

WHAT:
The 4th annual Canton Heritage Festival includes almost 100 vendors selling food and homemade/local goods, dozens of community organizations, games and activities for kids, live music and entertainment, the newest exhibit in the Barn, and much more.
The event has free admission and is open to all. There is also free parking and a free shuttle.
Paul Revere himself will be at the festival to answer questions and take pictures with attendees.
The Lexington Minute Men, sponsored by Republic Services, will be in attendance with a Minute Man Camp and will conduct drills between 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., including firing off several musket rounds.
The festival will also include:
- 18th-century games with Past.LIVE in the family activities area
- Engraved copper plate printing demonstrations by Andrew Volpe of Copper Plate Printing in the activity tent
- Poetry creations by Rick Hamelin of Pied Potter Hamelin Redware from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the Pied Potter tent
- Play-based learning activities with Playful Engineers in the family activities area
- Coding activities with Canton Code Ninjas in the family activities area
- Alpacas from Carver’s Child’s Play Alpaca, weather permitting, in the family activities area
- Treats from a local Canton Scouts troop
- Face painting by Art on the Spot
- Casting Q&A discussion with Bill Panciocco
Saturday will also be the final day to see the Copper Exhibit on all three floors of the Yellow Barn. The exhibit features copper artifacts, information about this versatile metal, copper artwork and the wearable recycled copper designs of nationally renowned copper-smith T. Michael Thomas.
In collaboration with the Office of Canton Veterans Services, the Paul Revere Heritage Site will present “Uniforms of our Heroes and their Stories.” This deeply moving exhibit is located in Copper Mill Hall (second floor of the historic brick rolling mill building, upstairs from Northern Spy Restaurant) and will be on display from May 10 to 26 and can be accessed any time the restaurant is open.

About the Paul Revere Heritage Site
The Paul Revere Heritage Site, where Paul Revere founded the vast American copper industry, is home to nine acres of manicured parkland, waterways, flat walking paths, two rehabilitated mid-19th century buildings erected by Paul’s son and business partner Joseph Warren Revere, and the Northern Spy Restaurant. The Heritage Site, located in Canton near the Route 93 and Route 95 junctions, can also be reached by the nearby Canton Center commuter rail station. The no-fee park is open seven days a week.
