DUNSTABLE — Chief William Farrell is pleased to share that the Dunstable Fire Department recently received a new command vehicle.
The department received the new command vehicle, a 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe on June 21. Dunstable Fire purchased the vehicle using federal and state funding.
The command vehicle will provide Dunstable Fire with incident command post capabilities and will house radios and emergency management equipment. The vehicle will also assist command staff when responding during a critical incident.
Dunstable Fire received $49,000 in funding through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and a budget earmark in the state FY24 budget.
Chief Farrell would like to thank State Representative Margaret Scarsdale and State Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey.
“Our department is extremely grateful for the funding, which allowed us to purchase our new command vehicle,” said Chief Farrell. “This new vehicle will be extremely beneficial for incident response as it will allow our staff to provide additional coverage to incidents and better assist our community.”
