Avon Fire Department Notifies Community About Upcoming Boston MedFlight Training for Firefighters

AVON — Fire Chief David Charest would like to inform the community that the Avon Fire Department will be conducting training with Boston MedFlight for flight landing zone operations on Monday, May 20 at approximately 8 p.m. at the Ralph D. Butler Elementary School, at 1 Patrick Clark Dr. in Avon.

AVON — Fire Chief David Charest would like to inform the community that the Avon Fire Department will be conducting training with Boston MedFlight for flight landing zone operations on Monday, May 20 at approximately 8 p.m. at the Ralph D. Butler Elementary School, at 1 Patrick Clark Dr. in Avon. 

Chief Charest would like to notify community members that this scheduled training is not a public event and there should be no cause for concern.

Avon Fire Department’s mutual aid partners, Brockton, Stoughton, and Holbrook Fire Departments were also invited to attend. 

Boston MedFlight is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency medical transport services for patients in a variety of critical situations. The training will cover multiple topics including incident response and procedures involving medical helicopters. 

“Minutes and seconds can be critical when it comes to emergency situations, and being prepared for as many situations as possible is paramount,” Chief Charest said. “On behalf of Avon Fire Department, we thank Boston MedFlight for helping to better prepare us to provide vital care to patients in critical need.”
