BURLINGTON — Chief Thomas Browne and the Burlington Police Department report that the 16-year-old juvenile male wanted in connection with a shots fired incident late last month was arrested in Boston last week.
The investigation indicates that the shots fired incident at the Avalon Burlington on Oct. 18 was in relation to drug dealing activity in the area and that all parties involved were known to each other.
The juvenile suspect was arrested by a multi-jurisdictional group of police detectives and investigators in the Boston area after a thorough search for the armed and dangerous individual.
The suspect faces the following charges:
- Discharge of a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling
- Attempted Murder
- Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws
The suspect is known to police.
The suspect was arraigned in juvenile court. His name will not be released due to the suspect’s age.
Chief Browne wishes to acknowledge Boston and State Police detectives who assisted Burlington Police in the case.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
