NARRAGANSETT – Chief Sean Corrigan, on behalf of Narragansett Police Department, would like to thank Narragansett’s public safety dispatchers during this year’s National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW) is held annually during the second week of April to honor telecommunications personnel for their commitment, service and professionalism.

NPSTW, held this year from April 9-15, is a time to celebrate and thank telecommunications professionals across the country who serve their communities, citizens and public safety personnel 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“As we observe National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated dispatchers who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. They are the unsung heroes of our department, often the first point of contact for those in need, and their professionalism, compassion and quick thinking are critical to our success. Thank you for your service and for being an essential part of our team,” said Chief Corrigan.
