CARVER — Police Chief Marc Duphily, Fire Chief Craig Weston, and Carver Emergency Medical Services Chief Michael Ryan report that the Carver Police Department, Fire Department and Carver Emergency Medical Service responded to a single-car rollover crash early this morning.
On Friday, March 31, at 4:51 a.m., Carver Police, Fire and Carver Emergency Medical Service were dispatched to South Main Street in the area of Sampson’s Lane for a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway and landed on its roof.
Upon arrival, first arriving Deputy Eric Germaine located a car over a guardrail and down an embankment.
Heavy rescue technicians, two engine companies, a safety officer, and three chief officers were dispatched to the scene.
The driver, the sole occupant, was found trapped inside the vehicle and was rescued by firefighters on the scene, using extraction tools.
The driver was transported to a local trauma center for care.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Carver Police Department.
