NORTH ATTLEBORO — Chief Christopher Coleman is pleased to announce that probationary firefighter/EMT Cameren Cornetta graduated from the Brockton Fire Department’s Training Academy.
On Friday, Feb. 17, Probationary Firefighter/EMT Cornetta graduated alongside members of the Brockton, Stoughton, Easton and Hanover Fire Departments at the Brockton Fire Department’s Training Academy.
The 13-week academy prepares firefighters for basic firefighting, including search and rescue, ladder operations, water supply, pump operation, fire attack and life safety lessons, as well as non-fire responses and hazardous material response.
Cornetta, a North Attleboro native, has since returned to work at the North Attleboro Fire Department and is assigned to Platoon D.
He follows in the footsteps of his late father, Christopher Cornetta, who served the North Attleboro Fire Department for 30 years.
“We are all extremely proud of Cameren for graduating from the academy and returning to our department with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to serve the North Attleboro community,” Chief Coleman said. “We are pleased to see him follow in his father’s footsteps and we look forward to watching him grow in his career.”
