Wakefield Police and Fire Respond to Crash Involving Pedestrian

WAKEFIELD — Chief Steven A. Skory and Fire Chief Michael Sullivan report that the Wakefield Police and Fire Departments responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on North Avenue Friday evening.

On Friday, Nov. 18, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Wakefield Police and Fire responded to 911 calls reporting a crash involving a pedestrian on North Avenue in the area of Quannapowitt Parkway. 

Responding officers discovered a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. 

The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene. The pedestrian suffered injuries and was transported by a medical helicopter to a regional trauma center.

The crash remains under investigation by Wakefield Police, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
