TEWKSBURY – Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department, with assistance from it’s regional law enforcement partners, arrested man wanted for numerous violent offenses originating in the City of Boston.

RON BELL, AGE 22, OF TEWKSBURY, was arrested on a warrant out of Dorchester District Court that charges him with:

  • Assault with Intent to Murder
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License
  • Possession of Ammunition Without an FID
  • Discharging a Firearm Within 500 feet of a Building

On July 11, 2022, the Tewksbury Police department was notified by the Boston Police Department that they had obtained an arrest warrant for BELL, who was known to reside on Revere Road in Tewksbury.

An investigation revealed that BELL was at his residence at 22 Revere Road on Monday, so Tewksbury Police requested assistance with serving the arrest warrant from the NEMLEC SWAT Team. NEMLEC is a regional consortium comprised of specially-trained law enforcement officers drawn from more than 60 municipal and county agencies in Middlesex and Essex counties.

BELL eventually came out of the home after several attempts to talk with him and de-escalate the situation.

BELL is expected to be arraigned Tuesday in Dorchester District Court. Additional inquiries should be directed to the Boston Police Department.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
