Man Dies After Suffering Medical Emergency While Driving in Bedford

BEDFORD, N.H. — Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department responded to a crash Wednesday morning after a driver suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel.

At approximately 8:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, Bedford Police and Fire responded to the area of Route 101 west of Stowell Road for a report of a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, first responders located a vehicle in a ditch with its driver unconscious inside.

The driver, Stephen Williams, 38, of Wilton, experienced a medical emergency while driving, which led to the crash. He was transported to CMC Hospital in Manchester, where he later died as a result of the medical issue.
