Easton Police Seeking Candidates for Full-Time Officer Position
EASTON — Chief Gary Sullivan announces that the Easton Police Department is currently seeking candidates interested in a lateral transfer, full-time police officer position.
The requirements for a lateral transfer to the department are:
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
- Valid Massachusetts Class A Large Capacity Licence to Carry
- Applicants must be permanent Massachusetts Civil Service Police Officers and
eligible for transfer subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Law Chapter
31 Section 35 - Applicants will be required to successfully complete a comprehensive background
investigation and medical, drug and psychological examinations.
The Easton Police Department offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance.
Officers hired after July 1, 2009 will receive an educational incentive for qualified degrees through the Police Career Incentive Pay Program, or Quinn Bill.
