NEWPORT, VERMONT — Chief Seth C. DiSanto reports that the Newport Police Department is investigating after three kayaks were stolen from a home Sunday night.

At some point between 7:30 p.m. on July 22 and 11:51 a.m. on July 23, three kayaks were stolen from a residence on Broadview Street. The kayaks — one yellow, one orange and one yellow and orange — had been left unsecured outside. Three paddles were also taken from an unlocked shed nearby.

Newport Police are actively investigating and are asking for the public’s help in identifying potential suspects. Anyone who believes they may have information about the theft is asked to call the Newport Police Department and Officer Nick Rivers at 802-334-6733.
