Chelmsford Police Seeking Man, Woman Involved In Bank Robbery
CHELMSFORD — Chief James Spinney reports that the Chelmsford Police Department is actively searching for a man and a woman who were involved in a robbery at Citizen’s Bank inside Stop & Shop today.
At approximately 2:20 p.m., police received a report that a man entered the Stop & Shop supermarket, 299 Chelmsford St., approached the Citizen’s Bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. No weapon was brandished, and no one was harmed in the incident.
The suspect then fled with an undetermined amount of cash. He entered a blue Toyota RAV4, driven by a woman wearing a pink sweatshirt. The man was seen wearing a green striped sweatshirt with a hood and hat underneath.
“This investigation is open and ongoing,” Chief Spinney said. “Anyone who was in the area at the time of the robbery, or who recognizes these suspects, is asked to immediately call the Chelmsford Police Department.”
Anyone with information on the suspect can call the Chelmsford Police Department at 978-256-2521.
