Exeter Police Investigating Armed Robbery

EXETER — Chief Richard Kane reports that the Exeter Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at Exeter Market that occurred this afternoon and is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

Police received a report around 1:45 p.m. that a man, armed with a handgun, entered Exeter Market, 201 Front St., and demanded money before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is described as wearing an orange ski mask, black jacket and tan pants and is estimated to be between 5-feet-5-inches tall and 5-feet-7-inches tall.

No one was in the store at the time of the robbery other than the clerk, and no one was injured. An area K-9 search was conducted with the assistance of the New Hampshire State Police. The suspect was not located during the search.

Police are working with surveillance images from the store to identify the suspect.

“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” Chief Kane said. “Anyone who recognizes this suspect, or who was in the area at the time of the robbery and might have seen something, is asked to immediately call police.”

Anyone with information on the robbery can call the Exeter Police Department at 603-772-1212.
