*Media Advisory* Chelmsford Police Host “Fill the Cruiser” Toys for Tots Event

CHELMSFORD — Chief James Spinney and the Chelmsford Police Department would like to invite the community to participate in their “Fill the Cruiser” Toys for Tots event this weekend.

Sgt. Stephen Fredericks will lead the event for the third year in a row at the Chelmsford Walmart. He is hoping to collect over 650 toys, which would surpass last year’s numbers.

“As people are out doing their holiday shopping, we ask that they stop by Walmart to give a gift to a child in need,” Chief Spinney said. “I commend Sgt. Fredericks for coordinating this event so that every child can have a happy holiday.”

WHAT

Chelmsford Police will collect toys through the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to be donated to children in need. Residents are asked to bring an unwrapped gift, for a girl or boy, ages infant to 16, to the Walmart parking lot to assist officers in filling the department’s cruisers with toys.

WHEN

Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE

Walmart, 66 Parkhurst Road, Chelmsford
