Paraben Corporation Announces Launch of Device Seizure 7.2
Only Forensic Software on the Market with Ability to Recover Deleted Files from Android 5.0 Devices
Vital Functionality for Law Enforcement
ASHBURN, Va. — Paraben Corporation is proud to announce the launch of its newest mobile forensics software, Device Seizure (DS) 7.2, which is now the only tool that can successfully recover deleted files from devices running the Android 5.0 “Lollipop” operating system.
Device Seizure is designed to serve as the central platform for law enforcement, government, and private security organizations conducting forensic investigations into smart phones, tablets, and other devices.
Designed from the ground up for forensically sound examinations of mobile devices, DS has set the industry standard for mobile investigations. Device Seizure 7.2 is designed to communicate with cell phones, mobile tablets, GPS devices, and PDAs via data cables which extract information from the devices. More than 24,500 devices are supported. It also works with iOS, Blackberry, Windows Phone, and many other devices.
“Paraben constantly strives to deliver the highest quality product in a very competitive and ever-changing market,” said Amber Schroader, CTO and Founder of Paraben Corporation. “With the release of DS 7.2, we are providing every resource needed for a mobile forensics case in one easy-to-use and affordable piece of software.”
The top-of-the-line software officially hit the market on Oct. 2, and has support not only for the device itself but also for all of the associated accessories that can come with mobile devices including SIM cards, media cards, call detail records, and much more.
Device support is not the only crucial feature that DS 7.2 offers. DS 7.2 has more deleted data recovery than any other tool on the market. It allows for the automated carving of data from unallocated memory, and allows this data to be displayed in easy to reference categories for quick analysis triage.
DS 7.2 maintains a variety of key features that are crucial to any investigator working with mobile devices. These features include comprehensive data acquisition of text messages, address books, and more, built-in password recovery, Windows CE registry viewer, acquisition of complete GSM and CDMA SIM card information including deleted data, full flash download of certain models of mobile devices, and a SIM card cloner. These standard features along with unique custom features like integrated Google Earth which making viewing coordinates from GPS and KML files seamless, make it a powerhouse in the mobile forensic tool arena.
Paraben’s DS 7.2 has the ability to acquire devices both logically and physically, and includes password bypassing as well as file system extractions, all within a single easy-to-use tool and single case. The software also features device auto-detection, making it easy for users to immediately start an acquisition once the device is plugged in. DS will automatically load all drivers allowing investigators to transition from acquisition to report in three simple steps, making this software one of the easiest tools to use.
The cost of a full one-year license is $2,495 and includes:
- Software w/perpetual license key/dongle.
- DS Toolbox – Data Cables, StrongHold Bag, Powere Management kids, Media Readers, & other conveniences for seizing mobile devices on-scene.
- License of Link2 software, a supplementary visual link analysis tool.
- 1-year Subscription Maintenance.
