Boxborough Police Detectives Returning from Ohio with Felony Suspect

BOXBOROUGH – Chief Warren Ryder reports that detectives from the Boxborough Police Department are returning to Massachusetts from Pike County, Ohio with a felony suspect who allegedly committed a series of crimes in Boxborough before allegedly kidnapping two people and driving them to Ohio, where he was arrested by Sheriff’s deputies after standoff.

KEVEN BLAKEMORE, AGE 21, OF BOXBOROUGH will be arraigned Thursday in Ayer District Court charged with:

  • Attempted Murder
  • Aggravated Rape
  • Kidnapping w/sexual assault while armed
  • Kidnapping w/serious bodily injury while armed
  • Assault and Battery with a dangerous weapon

Blakemore waived his extradition allowing Pike County, Ohio Sheriff to release him to the Boxborough Detectives who will be flying back with him Wednesday evening.

Blakemore will be booked at the Boxborough Police Department and held without bail before his appearance in court.

“This suspect’s alleged actions are shocking, and we are very proud of the work done by our counterparts in Ohio and our Boxborough Police Detectives who investigated this case,” Chief Ryder said. “This suspect will return home to face these very serious charges.”

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Additional inquiries on Thursday should be directed to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
