Methuen Police Arrest Three Men In Connection With Stolen Motor Vehicle

METHUEN — Chief Joseph Solomon reports that the Methuen Police Department arrested three men yesterday allegedly involved in stealing a motor vehicle.

All three men were charged with Receiving Stolen Property:

  • JUSTIN M JONES, AGE 27, HOMELESS
  • OMAR MENCIA JR., AGE 25, HOMELESS
  • GEOFFREY GONZALEZ, 34, OF HAVERHILL

JONES is also charged with Operating A Motor Vehicle with A Revoked License.

Around 2:10 p.m., police were notified to be on the lookout for a stolen black Ford Escape out of Haverhill that was occupied by three males.

An officer spotted a car matching the description approaching the I-93 and Route 110 rotary and conducted a motor vehicle stop.

The three men inside the car were placed under arrest. They will be arraigned today at Lawrence District Court.

“I applaud the work of the Methuen Police Department for the unified effort in locating and apprehending these suspects,” Chief Solomon said.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
