Chelmsford Police Arrest Alleged Heroin Dealer
CHELMSFORD — Police Chief James Spinney reports that Chelmsford Police arrested an alleged drug dealer for selling heroin on Friday.

PORFIRIO SANTIAGO, AGE 55, OF LOWELL has been charged with:
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A – Heroin
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Class C – Hydroxycodone
- Resisting Arresst
SANTIAGO was arrested after a long-term investigation by the Chelmsford Police Department, following leads that he was selling heroin in a parking lot behind his place of employment.
After observing a transaction between SANTIAGO and a female in the parking lot the evening of June 19, police moved in to arrest the suspect.
“Heroin use has reached an unimaginable level over the last several years, and it has far-reaching consequences for communities and families,” Chief Spinney said. “I am proud of the work of our department in taking an alleged dealer off of the streets.”
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
